Aintree Hawks JFC

This is the web page of Aintree Hawks football team based in Aintree on Merseyside in England. The team was concieved in August 2000 by one of the dad's as a "Football Training Club" at the local park and consisted of his son's reception school friends, which later expanded to incorprate other team members. In 2001 the team embarked on joining a league and chose the Walton and Kirkdale U8's Football League in Merseyside in England renouned for it's competitiveness. The season that followed was a steep learning curve for the team and the coaching staff and provided the foundation to enable the Hawks to finish the summer tournaments that followed as runners up and also winners at the Liverpool FC Academy. The team has built on this success and entered two teams for 2004/5 season; Hawks Blue and Hawks Orange and have now joined the Skelmersdale Junior Football League for their 2005/06 11-a-side season.
The purpose of the website is to provide a gateway into the club and the league in terms of fixtures, results, news and information for parents, players and sponsors.

League

Conduct on the pitch and respect for the referee has come to a head with the recent sending of of Javier Mascherano and the incident with Ashley Cole. It is often said that the conduct from the professionals influences the conduct of the amateur football scene. Aintree Hawks have long been a supporter of good conduct both on the line (See Don't Cross The Line) and also on the pitch and it is a requirement of all players to show good sporting conduct and respect for the referee on the pitch.

Please use the link via the Skelmersdale badge on the left of this page too link to the Leagues website, which has pictures of the new changing facilities. Aintree Hawks finished 5th in a 12 strong league last year and following additional signings in the "Transfer Market" we hope to improve on the position this year.
